Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President (VP) of Sales/Revenue to lead our global sales team and drive strategic growth initiatives. This individual will be responsible for setting revenue targets, building out the sales infrastructure, and scaling the business in existing and new markets. As a key member of the executive team, the VP of Sales/Revenue will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Lion Reach Media, defining our go-to-market strategy, and expanding our presence across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Set ambitious revenue targets, sales KPIs, and performance benchmarks to drive growth.
- Identify new business opportunities and market segments to expand Lion Reach Media’s client base.
- Work closely with the CEO to shape and execute the company’s vision for growth.
2. Team Building & Leadership:
- Build, hire, and develop a world-class sales team to scale across multiple regions.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and motivation to ensure the sales team consistently meets or exceeds targets.
- Create a high-performance culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture long-term client relationships with key enterprise technology companies.
- Lead and participate in high-level client meetings to drive account growth and maximize revenue potential.
- Act as a trusted advisor for major clients, providing insights, strategy, and solutions to meet their marketing needs.
4. Revenue Growth & Forecasting:
- Drive aggressive revenue growth by expanding into new verticals and geographies, with a specific focus on North America.
- Develop and manage revenue forecasts, budgets, and sales pipelines, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to executive leadership.
- Identify and implement new revenue streams, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure alignment between sales and overall business goals.
- Provide input on market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive company-wide initiatives that support business growth and expansion.
6. Sales Operations & Processes:
- Implement sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency, pipeline management, and deal closure rates.
- Establish and manage a sales enablement framework to ensure the sales team has the tools, content, and training needed to succeed.
- Regularly analyze sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of individual sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management and leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth in the B2B demand generation, media, or technology space.
- Experience building and scaling sales teams, particularly in high-growth environments.
- Expertise in enterprise-level sales, with experience working with global technology companies preferred.
- Experience in managing sales teams across multiple regions, particularly in North America, EMEA, and APAC.
2. Leadership & Vision:
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing sales teams.
- Ability to develop and articulate a clear sales vision and inspire teams to execute effectively.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, adapt to changing circumstances, and pivot when necessary.
3. Sales & Business Acumen:
- Deep understanding of the demand generation and media landscape, with the ability to identify new growth opportunities.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing sales budgets, forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, deal structuring, and closing skills.
4. Communication & Collaboration:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive company-wide initiatives.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with experience in managing large enterprise deals.
5. Metrics-Driven:
- Ability to analyse data and sales performance metrics to drive decision-making.
- Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to manage sales processes and pipeline reporting.
6. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred but not required.
